The WWE returns of Sasha Banks and Naomi could be one step closer. The former Women’s Tag Team Champions haven’t appeared in a WWE ring since wrestling at a live event in Roanoke, Virginia on May 15th, but that exile could be coming to an end.
The following day at the Monday Night Raw taping, both Banks and Naomi walked out following what was reported to be a row over creative. The two women were Tag Team Champions at the time and handed their belts in to Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis on their way out. It was subsequently announced that the pair had been suspended indefinitely.
Sasha Banks And Naomi On Their Way Back?
In the weeks after the walkout merchandise for the pair was removed from WWE’s online shop, they weren’t mentioned on television and were also taken out of WWE’s opening “Then, Now, Forever” signature. The short trail opens every WWE program.
This development comes after Sasha Banks teased something exciting on her Instagram page, commenting that something she has been waiting six months for was coming.
“As time passes, there’s been so much growth and so much beautiful opportunity and the journey that I’ve been loving but as the time also goes on, the date is coming that I’ve been waiting for…the past six months. I can’t wait, but I’m really going to make the most of November to make all my dreams happen in preparation for this date that I’ve been waiting for.
I’m very excited. I hope you guys come along for this journey, which I know a lot of you have been with me for so long so thank you, but I just wanted to let you know there’s going to be something so f*cking crazy coming.”
Although this could be taken to mean either a WWE return or departure, it was recently reported that The Boss remains under contract with the company.
