Sasha Banks and Naomi posed with some of their WWE colleagues recently, as rumours surrounding their return to WWE continued to grow.
Sasha Banks and Naomi, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, are yet to appear for WWE following their WWE walkout on 16 May. Though rumours are as hot as ever that they’re set to return to company programming, they remain absent from the promotion.
They were, however, spotted in public recently, attending a Major League Baseball game in New York; specifically, they watched the New York Yankees’ victory over the Minnesota Twins. The duo was pictured in a series of photos uploaded to Instagram Stories alongside Bayley and WWE Global Ambassador Titus O’Neil.
Sasha Banks and Naomi have remained two of the most talked-about performers of 2022, deserting WWE and leading to the Women’s Tag Team Championships being declared vacant. They were publicly shamed for doing so, including by Corey Graves and Michael Cole on Raw and SmackDown commentary, respectively.
Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, discussed the matter of Sasha Banks in a recent interview with BT Sport’s Ariel Helwani. He described the restarted communication between WWE and Sasha Banks as a “process”:
“Time will tell. Time will tell. In a lot of ways, communication breakdowns are terrible. There was a communication breakdown there, for whatever reason. Starting back up that communication, it’s not a difficult process, but it’s a process, and you have to go through the process. She’s an unbelievably talented young woman that can do just about anything she wants. It just comes down to, what does she want to do now with her life, her career, whatever that is.”
It’s unknown when – or if – ‘The Legit Boss’ and Naomi will return to WWE.
