Sasha Banks has revealed that she has set herself the lofty ambition of being the first woman to wrestle in space.
Since signing with WWE, Sasha Banks has won pretty much every major honour that there is to win. In fact the only championship that Banks hasn’t won is the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles, which only came into existence after she left the brand.
This success has led her to embark on a number of projects outside of wrestling, including appearing in The Mandalorian.
Speaking in a new interview, Banks has now revealed that her ambitions extend even further. During an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsivepodcast, Banks said that she wants to be the first woman to wrestle in space.
“I do want to go to space,” said Banks. “Space space. Outer space, Mars space. It’s like if I’m gonna be here on this planet, why not be the first? Why not try to beat Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk? Why not? Why can’t I try? Why can’t I think big? I think I would love to go to space. I would love to be the first woman to put pro wrestling on a different planet.”
At WrestleMania 38 Sasha Banks won the Women’s Tag Team Championships for a third time. In a fast-paced Fatal-Four-Way match, Banks teamed with Naomi to take home the gold. Surprisingly, despite all of her accomplishments, it was Banks’ first ever WrestleMania victory.
Elsewhere in the conversation with Banks, Logan Paul reflected on his own WrestleMania moment. At the event, Paul teamed with The MIz to defeat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Although, despite the win, he was left laying by his partner who took him out with the Skull Crushing Finale.
Looking back on the match, Paul revealed the physical toll it had taken on him, hitting back at those who deride wrestling as “fake.”
