‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks has issued a challenge to NXT UK Women’s Champion, Kay Lee Ray, for the Scot’s coveted championship.
Having held every major piece of women’s gold in WWE with the exception of the NXT UK Women’s Championship, the current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion set her sights on the prestigious strap during an interview with BT Sports in the United Kingdom.
Speaking to the channel via video link, Banks told the British sports giant:
“I’m only 28 and I’ve done so much already. This year, I’ve held nearly every title except the NXT ones. Kay Lee Ray, I’ve got a private jet sweetie. I’m making millions. I’ll fly over, it’s a dream match of mine”

Seeing the interview, the Scottish siren wasted no time in responding to the challenge on social media and stated in no uncertain terms that Sasha would not get her hands on her gold.
“If Sasha Banks wants to take me to a private island she can be my guest. Still not getting my title though”

Kay Lee Ray vs. Sasha Banks is indeed a dream match in 2020 and one we could get once the COVID-19 travel restrictions have eased further. We’ve already seen that it’s not impossible for a main roster talent to battle an NXT star when Rhea Ripley fought Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36.
For now though, both women have their hands full on their respective brands with Sasha Banks fending off the evil machinations of Bayley and Carmella, while Kay Lee Ray will defend her NXT UK Women’s Championship against Piper Niven in a Falls Count Anywhere Match on November 19.
By the time she reaches November 19, Kay Lee Ray will be on day 446 of her historic reign.
Inside the Ropes will have live coverage of both NXT UK and Friday Night SmackDown.
