A new report has claimed that both Sasha Banks and Naomi have been removed from WWE’s internal roster.
Sasha Banks and Naomi haven’t appeared on WWE programming since walking out of the May 16th episode of Monday Night Raw. On the following episode of SmackDown it was announced that the pair had been suspended and stripped of their Women’s Tag Team Titles.
While it has since been reported that Sasha Banks has been released by the company, there has been no official comment on her status. The most recent report regarding the situation noted that Banks had been quietly released on June 10th.
In a new update from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, it has been reported that both Sasha Banks and Naomi are no longer listed on WWE internal roster. However, there remains no official confirmation regarding their respective releases.
The report notes that there have been “rumblings” that Banks will be appearing at signings outside of WWE in the Autumn.
On May 16th, Banks and Naomi had been scheduled to take part in a six-pack challenge to crown a new number one contender for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship. However, following a disagreement over creative, the pair left the building. This sparked a swift re-write of the main event segment, with Becky Lynch taking on Asuka instead.
Following their suspension, both women were removed from WWE’s opening video package and their merchandise was taken down from WWE’s online store.
Inside The Ropes will continue to update this story as it develops.
