Saraya discusses her current contract length.
Joining hands with Tony Khan’s promotion in 2022, ‘The Anti-Diva’ made her much-awaited in-ring return to the promotion after a gap of almost five years. Since then, she has elevated herself to the position of a top star at the promotion, including a Women’s Championship win.
Earlier last year, Fightful Select had reported about The Outcasts’ member signing a new contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion. Recently, speaking with TMZ, the former champion, confirmed her contract status with the promotion and its expiry date.
My contract is up with AEW in September, so I don’t know. Maybe I’ll stay with them, maybe not, I don’t know.”
The British wrestler further opened up about the chances of a possible WWE return, and how she has not completely ruled that out.
“Yeah, I love WWE. I appreciate everybody there. They made me. They gave me my career and I’m appreciative of that. One day, who knows. I love my time in AEW. don’t know. I’m ready to go now. It’s just trying the best way to introduce me again. I would love to go against Mercedes. I think it’s important. She ‘ended my career,’ in a way. It’s wrestling, it happens, but coming back it would be really great to face off with her.”
