Saraya made her long-awaited to the ring at AEW Full Gear to defeat Britt Baker. However, it appears that the British star’s issues with AEW’s resident dentist show no sign of being over.
The match at Full Gear was Saraya’s first in almost five years after previously being told that she would never wrestle again. As a result, she has previously revealed she will be wrestling sparingly, at least initially, in her new role in AEW.
Saraya To Wrestle Again In 2023
On the December 7th edition of Dynamite the star was being interviewed backstage when she was interrupted by Baker. The former AEW Women’s World Champion handed Saraya tickets for AEW’s upcoming edition of Dynamite at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA on January 11th.
The former WWE star said that she would be happy to have a rematch Baker, but her rival had other ideas. Baker said that she will be teaming with Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter at the show, so Saraya needs to find herself a partner.
Elsewhere on Dynamite, William Regal said goodbye to the Blackpool Combat Club and AEW as a whole as he prepares to head back to WWE. In a pre-taped segment, Regal broke down why he turned his back on Jon Moxley at Full Gear and why he’s BCC for life.
In the main event The Acclaimed overcame FTR to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships. The challengers appeared to be heading for victory until Max Cater reversed a powerbomb into a shock pin. After the match it was announced that FTR will defend their ROH World Tag Team Titles in a Dog Collar Match against The Briscoes at Final Battle on December 10th.
The show opened with the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal which was won by Ricky Starks. This means that when Starks faces MJF at Winter Is Coming, both the Dynamite Diamond Ring and AEW World Championship will be on the line.
