Saraya [Paige] Interested In 2 Matches If WWE Return Does Happen

Former WWE Star Recalls Scrapped Pitch For Romance Storyline With Saraya [FKA Paige]

Former AEW and WWE star Saraya [Paige] has addressed her future wrestling goals while also noting that there are 2 match stipulations that she has never been a part of.

The former Women’s Champion suffered a neck injury at a house show in late 2017 that ultimately led to her first retirement in April 2018. While the former Paige was sidelined with injury, WWE made history in early 2018 by presenting the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches. With Saraya unable to get cleared to compete from her retirement announcement to her departure in 2022, the former Women’s Champion was unable to be part of the stipulation matches.

After debuting in AEW in 2022 and being cleared to compete again, the British wrestler recently departed the promotion, citing other projects being the priority. With rumours regarding a WWE comeback circulating, the former Women’s Champion spoke about potentially making her debut in each match type.

Speaking with Scott Fishman of TVInsider, Saraya spoke about her goals in wrestling moving forward, noting that she has never competed in a Rumble or Chamber match:

“I would like to get back in the ring this year and really train and find myself again. I feel like I didn’t do that the past couple of years. I want to do the training side of things. I want to go to Nattie’s training school and get in the ring with her. That’s my focus this year. I didn’t get to do a Royal Rumble or an Elimination Chamber or anything I didn’t get to do. Maybe down the line I will get to do them, who knows?”

Saraya Opens Up About Biopic

Along with her recently released autobiography, the former AEW star also saw her life story adapted in the movie Fighting With My Family. In a previous interview, Saraya looked back at the point where she felt that she had ruined the project and it might be cancelled.

In recent news, Saraya has spoken about whether she preferred working as her character in AEW or WWE.
