Saraya Has A Heartwarming Message For ‘Sister’ AJ Lee Upon WWE Return

Saraya (fka Paige) and AJ Lee were occassional rivals and teammates in WWE.

After AJ Lee’s massive WWE return, Saraya had a heartwarming message for her “sister.”

Saraya, who was known as Paige when she was with WWE, had a long history with AJ Lee in the early to mid-2010s. On her main roster debut on the April 7, 2014, episode of RAW after WrestleMania, she dethroned Lee to become the youngest Divas Champion in history at the age of 21.

In a role reversal, Lee returned on the June 30, 2014, episode of RAW and bested The Anti-Diva to regain the championship. The rivals then exchanged title wins at SummerSlam 2014 (the then-Paige beating Lee at her 22nd birthday at that time) and 2014 Night of Champions (Lee won a Triple Threat match against Paige and Nikki Bella). The next year, the duo became teammates at WrestleMania as they successfully outlasted The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella). They went their separate ways after Lee announced her retirement on April 3, 2015.

A decade later, AJ Lee made her triumphant return to the Stamford-based promotion to take out current Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch on SmackDown. Sharing her reaction on X (Twitter) about what went down in Chicago, Saraya couldn’t help but be proud of her wrestling “sister.”

The former AEW star sent a message to her friend to go show the world why she’s the best.

“F**k, my heart is so full watching @TheAJMendez come back. Love you sister. Go show ‘em why you’re the best in the world ❤️,” Saraya tweeted.

Lee’s WWE return bombed the internet when it posted 1.7M+ views and 95k likes in just one hour. It also sparked massive reactions within the wrestling world and her contemporaries alike.

Roxanne Perez, Elayna Black (fka Cora Jade), and Naomi reacted to AJ Lee’s WWE return

AJ Lee’s much-anticipated return to the Stamford-based promotion was met with positive response by members of the women’s locker room and even former superstars.

Roxanne Perez and Elayna Black (fka Cora Jade) are among the several stars who reacted to that defining moment on SmackDown. They are considered Lee and CM Punk’s wrestling “daughters” as they shared a tight bond together.

Perez was elated seeing her “mother” come back home, while Black touted the star’s return as “the best in wrestling history.”

On the other hand, former women’s world champion Naomi also expressed her excitement about AJ’s return and advised her friend to “give ’em hell.”

It can be remembered that Naomi, along with Saraya (fka Paige), was involved in AJ Lee’s last wrestling match on March 30, 2015, when they beat The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella) and Natalya.
