Saraya admits she’s unsure if she’d fit in with the WWE of today.
Last month, Saraya announced that she had departed AEW after two and a half years with the promotion. While she’ll be taking some time away from wrestling for the foreseeable, the news left many fans wondering if a return to WWE was on the cards.
In an interview with the Grue Rume Show as part of a media tour for her new book, the former Paige admitted that she was surprised by the outpouring of wishes for her to return to WWE. While she’d love to go back to her former wrestling home, she doesn’t know how, or if, she’d fit in with the current roster.
Yeah, so, I do want to take 2025 as a time to find myself a little bit and kind of get my feet wet outside of wrestling, and it’s something, like, I definitely wanna do. I didn’t realize as many people would wanna see me back in WWE (she laughed).
I am very insecure with the way I feel like people think about me. I get in my head a little bit and so, the fact that — I mean, it’s just insane how many people are talking about me going back to WWE and I just want people just to don’t get your hopes up. At least this year.
I kind of wanna take 2025 to do acting and all that kind of fun stuff but one day, I would love to. I mean, Rhea’s amazing. She’s a powerhouse. Everybody there. The women’s roster there right now is stacked so, yeah, it’s incredible and they’re doing really wonderful things.
I don’t know if there’s even a place for me there right now but… I get that a lot. I’ve got that in other interviews too. Everyone’s very like, ‘Go home.’
What Would Saraya’s WWE Goals Be If She Returned?
In another interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Saraya opened up on what her goals in wrestling are going forward.
On top of wanting to train more and focus on refining herself in-ring, she mentioned that she’d be eager to take part in WWE stipulation matches that weren’t available when she was active with the company like a Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber match.
In recent news, Saraya has once again teased a possible WWE return.
