Saraya Gives Positive Update On Current State Of Her Neck

Saraya

Saraya has given a positive update on her neck following the injury that had previously forced her to retire from in-ring competition.

Saraya suffered numerous injuries during her run in WWE and was eventually forced to retire from in-ring competition altogether in 2018 at the mere age of 25.

Known as Paige during her WWE run, the British star remained with the company and performed in a variety of non-wrestling roles, such as SmackDown General Manager, before her official release in July 2022.

Just over two months later, Saraya made her shock debut for AEW at their Grand Slam event in Queens, New York.

Fans began speculating on whether or not the Anti-Diva would work for AEW in an in-ring capacity, particularly after she got physical in the ring for the first time in five years on the October 5th episode of Dynamite.

Saraya was a guest on the latest episode of the ’Talk Is Jericho’ podcast and was asked about the current state of her neck:

“It’s good. Yeah, I feel really healthy and my neck feels fantastic. And I would definitely want to take it slower this time around, you know, if there was any physicality and stuff like that, I just want to really take care of my body. Because as much as I want to rush into doing all these different matches, I know what happened last time, right. So I just want to take it as slow as possible.”

Following the brawl with Britt Baker on Dynamite, it was reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Saraya had been officially cleared by AEW doctors to make an in-ring return.
