Samoa Joe In-Ring Return Announced For Dynamite

Samoa Joe

After his surprise appearance at Supercard of Honor, Samoa Joe is set to make his return to the ring on the next episode of AEW Dynamite!

Samoa Joe stunned fans at ROH Supercard of Honor XV when he made a shock appearance to close the show, marking his first Ring of Honor appearance in seven years. Joe interrupted Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt’s attack on Lee Moriarty and Undisputed ROH Champion Jonathan Gresham after the main event, locking Dutt in the Coquina Clutch.

Shortly after his appearance, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that the three time NXT Champion was officially signed to All Elite Wrestling. Khan revealed in March that he had purchased Ring of Honor, and he will serve as booker for the company.

Taking to social media again today, Tony Khan announced that Samoa Joe will debut in AEW on the next episode of Dynamite, where he’ll take on Max Caster in a qualifying match for the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.

“Arriving last week at ROH #SupercardOfHonor, @SamoaJoe is signed with @AEW & has said that he plans to dominate! Samoa Joe debuts in AEW vs. @PlatinumMax in an Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Qualifier Bout on LIVE @ 8pm ET/7pm CT on @TBSNetwork TOMORROW night!”

A women’s qualifying match is also set to take place when former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida will take on Julia Hart.
