Samoa Joe Could Be Set For AEW Return

Samoa Joe

AEW star and ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe could be set for an imminent return to television according to a new report.

Samoa Joe burst onto the scene in Ring of Honor once again when his time in WWE came to an end, making his debut for the Tony Khan-owned company at Supercard of Honor in April 2022. He then competed in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament in AEW, making it all the way to the finals at Double Or Nothing where he lost to Adam Cole.

That was his last bout so far in AEW but in July Joe was part of ROH’s Death Before Dishonor where he successfully defended his ROH World Television Title against Jay Lethal.

Now PWInsider has reported that Samoa Joe’s return to AEW television could happen sooner rather than later. Joe has been filming the series Twisted Metal for Peacock in recent months but filming has now wrapped. The show which also features Will Arnett, Stephanie Beatriz, Neve Campbell, Thomas Haden Church, and Anthony Mackie sees Samoa Joe star as Sweet Tooth.

The addition of Samoa Joe to television would be a welcome boost for AEW with CM Punk and Kenny Omega both returning in recent weeks after time off for injuries.
