Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara took to the stage at AEW Double or Nothing with some incredible news.
In the ring, Guevara was due to take on “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Darby Allin, and MJF in a huge Four-Way-Match for the AEW World Title, but it seems that no matter the result, nothing will shake the Spanish God’s smile.
Guevara made his entrance alongside Melo with the couple decked out in white. In something of a throwback the pair carried a series of cue cards, and announced they were having a baby.
Flying high after delivering the good news, Guevara turned in one of the most impressive displays of his career. The former TNT Champion took every risk in the book and then some. Not that he was alone in that regard with Jungle Boy and Darby Allin also throwing caution to the wind as only they know how.
A brief pause in the action saw MJF offering Guevara money to lay down for him as he “needs it for the baby,” but the father-to-be was having none of it.
The end of the match came in stunning style to the disgust of the crowd. With Allin preparing to hit the Coffin Drop, MJF placed the World Title belt across Jungle Boy’s chest, causing damage to both men as Allin fell from the top rope.
In a call back to their earlier rivalry, MJF then proceeded to pin Allin following a Head Lock.
When Did Sammy Guevara And Tay Melo Get Married
Guevara and Melo began dating in January 2022, before marrying that August.
Tay Melo hasn’t wrestled in AEW since teaming with Anna JAS in defeat to Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale. Her most recent match came on March 11th when she teamed with her husband in a mixed tag team match at WrestleFest XXVII. Regardless, she is setting her post-pregnancy aspirations high, targeting the AEW Women’s World Championship in a recent interview.
