Sami Zayn Returns To WWE On Raw

Sami Zayn Explains Why Unlikely WWE Match Is One Of His Favourites

Sami Zayn made his long-awaited return to WWE programming on Raw after WrestleMania 41, ending a nearly two-month absence by joining World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso in the ring.

Zayn appeared during Jey’s in-ring celebration, where the newly crowned champion soaked in the crowd’s cheers after defeating Gunther on night one of WrestleMania in Las Vegas. Jey, who made his entrance through the crowd, was first joined by Zayn, then by his brother Jimmy, for a heartfelt moment between close allies.

Zayn addressed the crowd, reflecting on his time away and expressing how difficult it was to watch from the sidelines as Jey climbed the ranks. Zayn said that no one deserves to win the title more than Jey Uso, applauding Jey’s rise to the top and cementing their continued alliance.

The segment ended with Jey, Jimmy, and Zayn celebrating together in the ring.

Zayn had been off television since March 1, when he lost an unsanctioned match to Kevin Owens at Elimination Chamber in Toronto. The bout served as the culmination of the long-running and emotionally charged feud between the two and was Zayn’s final appearance before being written out of storylines.

Kevin Owens himself is now sidelined with a legitimate neck injury that required surgery. He is currently out indefinitely.
