Sami Zayn has moved to praise a top AEW star, describing them as the best of our generation.
Throughout his career, Sami Zayn has shared the ring with some of the modern greats of the squared circle, both in WWE and on the independent scene.
This puts him in the perfect position to run the rule over some of today’s top talent.
During a recent appearance on the Broken Skull Sessions, Zayn and Stone Cold Steve Austin touched on his real life friend Kevin Owens, John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura. While during the conversation, Austin also brought up Bryan Danielson.
The AEW star is regarded by many as one of the best wrestlers in the world, and Zayn agrees. The former Intercontinental Champion said that Danielson was the best wrestler of his generation.
Bryan Danielson hasn’t wrestled since taking on the Chris Jericho Appreciation Society at AEW Double or Nothing. While it was initially believed that the undisclosed issue would only cause a short absence, the former WWE Champion is yet to return to action.
It is believed that the injury is concussion related. Something which requires extra care with Danielson given his history of concussion problems. These problems famously led him to retire in early 2016.
However, recent reports suggest that the star could be back in the ring soon. It has been suggested that Danielson, along with CM Punk and Kenny Omega are targeting a return at AEW All Out.
