ECW legend Sabu revealed that former WWE Intercontinental Champion Test refused to cooperate in the ring with CM Punk because he was the bigger of the two.
In 2006, Sabu, The Voice of the Voiceless and the former kayfabe Mötley Crüe bodyguard were members of WWE’s repackaged version of ECW. During this time all three were featured heavily and clashed several times, however, according to Sabu, Test wasn’t the most collaborative opponent.
During an interview with PTM’s Vinny Vegas, Sabu claimed that he and CM Punk called Test an idiot for flat out denying Punk to get any offence on him in a match The ECW original said:
“One time we were somewhere and me and CM Punk and him were in a match. CM goes, ‘I’ll do this to you.’ And he goes, ‘No.’ He goes, ‘Why not?’ Test goes, ‘Because I’m six-seven and you’re not.’ Me and Punk looked at each other and started laughing. ‘Well, this guy’s an idiot.’”
CM Punk went on to become ECW Champion before winning a multitude of titles in WWE throughout his career. Since returning to professional wrestling for AEW earlier this year, Punk stated that he intends on challenging and winning the World Championship.
