Ryo Mizunami has made a big splash thus far in 2021, having shot into the mainstream consciousness following her victory in the AEW Women’s Eliminator tournament earlier this year.
The wrestler known as ANIKI recently returned to Japan following a stint with All Elite and immediately injected herself into SEAdLINNNG’s main event picture by calling out current Beyond the Sea Single Champion, ASUKA.
The champion will be familiar to some fans, having also competed in the Japanese bracket of the AEW tournament under the name Veny, and is currently a double champion is SEAd, where they also hold the promotion’s tag team championships (with Makoto).
Now Mizunami, who is also a part of the ChocoPro OOAK Tag League, will get her shot at gold, when she collides with ASUKA at the promotion’s July 11th show at Korakuen Hall.
In a star-studded card, former tag champs Nanae Takahashi and Arisa Nakajima will go one on one in the main event bout, whilst Ice Ribbon’s new FantastICE Champion Rina Yamashita will be action, teaming with Rina Kawabata against the team of Yumiko Hotta and Makoto.
ChocoPro’s Yuna Mizumori, as well as Gatoh Move company founder and AEW star Emi Sakura are also slated to appear.
Japanese rock band Funkist will also be on hand to play a mini-concert, helping to commemorate what looks to be an incredibly exciting night of professional wrestling.
