Rumoured Roman Reigns Vs. The Rock Match Not Scheduled To Take Place

Roman Reigns and The Rock will not clash where many fans had previously predicted.

Ever since The Great One made a surprise return to WWE and referenced The Head of the Table speculation has gone into overdrive. Many have wondered when or if the dream match will take place and how this would affect plans involving Cody Rhodes finishing the story.

One fan theory was that the major match would not be taking place at WrestleMania but instead at Elimination Chamber in Australia. The rumours were then strengthened when a report came to light that Australian tourist officials requested the Hollywood star to be at the event.

As reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this is not going to happen. Not only have internal sources debunked the rumour but neither Rock nor Reigns are advertised to appear at Elimination Chamber in February:

Regarding the Reigns vs. Rock match, while I presume it’s WrestleMania (and could possibly be a three-way with Rhodes but I don’t think that will come out until many weeks from now), what we did have confirmed is the Australia rumors aren’t accurate. Reigns is not even scheduled for the show. He’s never been advertised and there are no plans for him for that date right now

There has been no update on plans for either Rock or Reigns at WrestleMania.

While Roman Reigns isn’t scheduled for the event, it has now been announced that CM Punk will be in attendance for Elimination Chamber.

In regards to Elimination Chamber, WWE have confirmed the start time for the event.

Roman Reigns Looks To Survive Major Title Defence

At the Royal Rumble, Reigns will defend the Undisputed Championship against AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Orton. The match came together when The Bloodline interfered in the number one contenders match, leaving all 3 challengers lying as a result. According to a new report, the 4-Way match was not the original plan for Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
