After suffering an injury at All Out, Ruby Soho will undergo surgery and will have to miss a scheduled appearance.
During the Buy In prior to AEW All Out, Ruby Soho teamed with Ortiz to take on the team of Sammy Guevara and his wife Tay Melo. Guevara and Melo were victorious, retaining their AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship.
While the Jericho Appreciation Society members left with their tag team gold, Ruby Soho left the match with a severely broken nose. Soho’s injury reportedly came at the end of the match when Melo hit her with the ‘Tay-KO’. As Melo hit Soho with a knee, Soho can be seen quickly grabbing her face and holding her nose as she is pinned.
Soho was scheduled to appear at 1PW’s show on October 1st, but in a recent video on the promotion’s social media, the star revealed that she requires surgery for her injury and will be unable to attend the show.
“Hey 1PW fans, it is yours truly, Ruby Soho, and I’m here with some disappointing news. Due to an injury that I received at All Out – a broken nose in two places and a mess of a septum – I have to have surgery, and due to the scheduling of that surgery and the recovery time, I won’t be able to make it to the show on October 1st.
“I’m really, really sorry that I’m not gonna be there; honestly, this is the only thing that would keep me from coming back to England. I was very very much looking forward to that show, and very much looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing all of you again, so for that I do truly apologize, but I know the show’s going to be incredible. It’s still a stacked card, and I am hoping in the near future, hoping at the show in February I will be back, I will be better than ever, and I will finally keep my word and make my debut for 1PW.
“So I apologize again you guys, and I hope to see you again very soon.”
Due to an injury, @realrubysoho will no longer be appearing at A NEW TWIST OF FATE on October 1st. A replacement will be announced later on this evening.
