Ruby Riott Reveals The Biggest Regret Of Her WWE Career

Ruby Riott has shared what she says is the biggest regret from her WWE career following her surprising release from the company on June 2nd.

Riott was one of six names released by the company for what Head Of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis cited as budgetary reasons. Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman, former NXT Champion Aleister Black, Lana, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett were also released from their WWE contracts.

Those releases took place almost two months after WWE had a mass clearout for the second year in a row on April 15th. Samoa Joe, The IIconics, and Mickie James were among the names released then. The company also cleared the decks in NXT in May with several developmental stars released alongside controversial figures Drake Wuertz and Velveteen Dream.

Taking to social media, the lynchpin of the Riott Squad shared her biggest regret alongside photos of her and long-time tag team partner, Liv Morgan.

Ruby Riott tweeted:

“My biggest regret is that I didn’t know that our last match was our last. But, I love you and I’ll always be your biggest fan! Thank you for everything you e taught me. #SquadSquad“

The last match in question for Ruby Riott in WWE came on the 28th of May edition of SmackDown when the Riott Squad was defeated by WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina.

Morgan has since replied to Riott’s tweet with one of her own, saying:

“I don’t think that was our last match. My partner for life”

Liv Morgan competed for the first time as the last remaining member of the Riott Squad on the WWE roster on the 4th of June edition of SmackDown. On a night that saw The Mysterios face The Usos twice, the only women’s match on the show saw Carmella defeat Morgan in two and a half minutes.
