It is often the case that on-screen tag teams become more than simply partners on television, with Superstars forming bonds which last for years. Appearing on WWE’s The Bump Ruby Riott has opened up about just how much her current and former partners in the Riott Squad mean to her.
Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan debuted as The Riott Squad in November 2017 attacking Becky Lynch and Naomi. The trio would remain together until the Superstar Shakeup in 2019 and Logan, real name Sarah Rowe, would leave the company a year later. While Riott and Morgan have since reunited and are now appearing on SmackDown.
All three women appeared on a recent episode of The Bump, where they discussed Rowe’s life outside of the ring as a new mom, before Riott paid tribute to the two women who she says changed her life.
“We all got tattooed on our bodies, all three of us, 11/21/17, was the day that I can say that me personally… it was the day that my life changed forever. The two women that you guys have on this screen, they changed my whole life. I have never felt the selfless camaraderie, the selfless friendship, the type of relationship that I have felt with these two women in or out of the ring. In any locker room in any part of my life. And I am so beyond grateful, because I would not be even remotely close to the kind of person that I am today, and I wouldn’t be as strong, I wouldn’t be as wise, I wouldn’t be… I wouldn’t be me if it wasn’t for these two girls. And I am everyday thankful that they are in my life.”

Ruby Riott was also recently praised by Victoria following her return at the 2021 Royal Rumble. The former Women’s Champion detailed how Riott along with Bayley helped calm her nerves prior to her getting back into the ring.
