Betting site, Bovada, have given updates on the latest favourites to triumph in both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble Matches.
Previously, the site had noted that Big E and Edge topped the list to come out with a WrestleMania 37 headline spot with an equal +500 each, with Rhea Ripley sitting firmly atop the female list in order to complete her transition to the main roster.
Now that has all changed with the altering landscape of WWE in the last few weeks, with Big E winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Sami Zayn on December 25, 2020, and Randy Orton losing the WWE Championship and negating the need for Edge survive in order to challenge his rival for the company’s top prize.
Currently, the new favourite for the men’s Royal Rumble Match as of January 6, 2021, is Daniel Bryan at +300. Previously eighth, the former WWE Champion is now slated to be the man to come out on top in order that he will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship which has said to be the plan for ‘The Head of the Table’ for several months.
The rest of the top five is now rounded out with Keith Lee (+450), Big E (+600), Brock Lesnar (+800) and Edge (+1000). The Rock is listed as a surprise entrant and victor at +2000, while Shane and Vince McMahon prop up the list at an equal +25000.
As for the women, the new favourite is Friday Night SmackDown star Bianca Belair at +400. Belair has seen a career resurgence on the blue brand, being the only woman left on the brand’s Survivor Series team before entering a feud with former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley.
During the 2020 Royal Rumble Match, Belair made a great impression eliminating eight women en route to one of the most impressive performances in rumble history.
The rest of the field is rounded out by Alexa Bliss (+400), Rhea Ripley (+800), Ronda Rousey and Bayley (both +1000).
The 20201 Royal Rumble will emanate from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 31.
