Roxanne Perez revealed how she plans to use her title opportunity after winning the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament!
Former ROH Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez hasn’t been in NXT long, making her in-ring debut on the April 15th episode of Level Up before also competing on the April 19th episode of NXT 2.0. However, in her short time with the company, she’s already managed to make a splash, aligning herself with both Wendy Choo and Cora Jade in the past few months while she’s been at odds with Toxic Attraction.
Her biggest win to date came on the June 7th episode when she defeated Tiffany Stratton in the finals of the inaugural NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, which earned her a title opportunity of her choosing.
On the latest episode of NXT 2.0, the former Rok-C revealed how she plans to use her title opportunity. As Toxic Attraction were cutting a promo in the ring, the tournament winner interrupted to announce that while she’d love to face Mandy Rose and become NXT Women’s Champion, opportunities are better when they’re shared, and she and Cora Jade will face Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
This brought out long-time tag team Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, who secured a victory over Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon earlier in the night. They said that the line for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships starts behind them, as they’re also best friends and have been teaming together much longer than Perez and Jade. When the young upstarts protested, Chance and Carter attacked.
