Roxanne Perez will be back in action at NXT Stand & Deliver.
The NXT Women’s Champion has been absent from the ring after collapsing at Roadblock. After successfully defending her title against Meiko Satomura, Perez collapsed in the ring and was taken away in an ambulance as a concerned Shawn Michaels and Booker T looked on.
While the “collapse” itself was very much a storyline — famously used by Shawn Michaels in the mid-1990s — it appeared that it was done to cover up a genuine issue.
It was reported that the mysterious issue wasn’t an injury or something that would prevent her from appearing on television.
With Perez seemingly out of action, Shawn Michaels announced a Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver to decide the fate of the Women’s Championship. Interestingly, HBK stopped short of stripping Perez of the gold.
On the March 28th episode of NXT, Perez returned to television and informed Michaels that she had been cleared to return after suffering from anxiety and exhaustion. Although initially hesitant, the WWE Hall of Famer added her to the Ladder Match.
Later in the show, Indi Hartwell booked her own spot in the match with a win over Sol Rouca and Ivy Nile.
