Ronda Rousey has opened up about locker room drama in WWE and says she misses out on it, adding as far as she knows it’s all “cupcakes and handjobs.”
The bronze medal Olympian took the world of MMA by storm, headlining UFC pay-per-views to become the early success stories of the company’s blossoming women’s division.
Taking her star status to the world of pro wrestling, Rousey debuted for WWE at the 2018 Royal Rumble, going on to compete at WrestleMania 34 before winning the Raw Women’s Title at SummerSlam in the same year.
Rousey stepped away from the ring after headlining WrestleMania 35 only to return at the 2022 Royal Rumble, winning the 30-woman match and headlining WrestleMania 38 with Charlotte Flair.
Speaking to fellow Olympian Kurt Angle on The Kurt Angle Show, Ronda Rousey was asked about her experiences in the WWE locker room. According to Rousey an allegory made by Paul Heyman explains why Rousey hasn’t experienced much drama:
“Heyman was telling me if there was like a pitbull in the room and you don’t know about this dog, you know? You don’t know this dog and it could probably kill you, you’re not going to do anything crazy while the pitbull is in the room. You’re going to wait until the pitbull leaves the room and then you get crazy.”
“So as far as I know, it’s just sunshine and lollipops in the locker room. It’s a bunch of cupcakes and handjobs. Everyone’s having a great time.”
