‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ Ronda Rousey has been spotted training for her WWE in-ring return with IMPACT Wrestling star, James Storm.

Posting a picture of their training session on Twitter, ‘The Cowboy’ wrote:

“Big thanks to @rondarousey & @travisbrownemma for the invite to do a little wrestling around. I’ve met a lot of people that come from different sports but none besides @therealkurtangle that have the respect for pro wrestling like she does.”

Yesterday, Inside the Ropes reported that Rousey was expected to return to WWE at WrestleMania 37 on March 28, 2021, but it appears that her incoming may be closer than anyone thought, as all eyes turn to the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

Ronda Rousey hasn’t been inside a WWE ring since she suffered her first pinfall defeat at WrestleMania 35, losing the WWE Raw Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch in a match that also featured Charlotte Flair.

However, Paul Heyman set the cat among the pigeons about a potential return when he hinted to The New York Post that the star may have secretly agreed to a contract extension with WWE as her current contract expires in April of next year:

“Everyone presumes that Ronda Rousey’s contract expires at a certain time. I don’t understand why people don’t realize that perhaps, just perhaps, Ronda Rousey’s contract has been extended or she has worked out a new deal and it would not benefit either WWE or Ronda Rousey to go public with that information. But why wouldn’t people understand that it would be kept secret?”

In addition, Wrestlingnews.co is reporting that Vince McMahon has already decided that Ronda’s WrestleMania 37 opponent will be the returning Becky Lynch, with McMahon “hoping Becky will be back in January or February to start the one on one feud with Ronda”.

Lynch vs. Rousey was the match most fans wanted to see headline the 2019 WrestleMania, which of course ended up a three-way with Charlotte Flair added to the mix.

WrestleMania 37 is slated to take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, after plans reportedly changed to stage it at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
