A new report has claimed that Ronda Rousey will not be in Cardiff, Wales for WWE Clash At The Castle.
Clash At The Castle will be the biggest event that WWE have hosted in the United Kingdom for the three decades. Not since SummerSlam 1992 has a show of this magnitude headed across the Atlantic, but one star who won’t be there is Ronda Rousey.
Despite originally being scheduled for the show, it has now been reported that Rousey will not be in attendance.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that as of mid-week, she will not be making the trip.
Rousey lost her SmackDown Women’s Championship to Liv Morgan at Money In The Bank, and was unsuccessful in her attempts to win the title back at SummerSlam. Following the match at the summer spectacular, Rousey attacked Morgan and a referee, earning herself a fine and a suspension.
Despite being suspended, Rousey has continued to appear on Friday Night SmackDown, before being “arrested” on the August 19th episode of the show. With the former UFC star out of the picture, Shayna Baszler became number one contender for Morgan’s title. The two women are scheduled to meet with the gold on the line at Clash At The Castle.
However, it was still originally expected that Rousey would feature on the show to continue her quest to be reinstated so she could try and reclaim the SmackDown Women’s Title.
