A former UFC fighter, it isn’t just armbars that Ronda Rousey has mastered as she’s reportedly sitting on a chokehold variation that she’s waiting to debut.
Since arriving in WWE in January 2018, Ronda Rousey‘s moveset has largely remained the same, relying on her expertise gained from an acclaimed UFC career. On occasion, ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ has mixed things up, as shown when she incorporated the Piper’s Pit; a twisting Samoan Drop.
With a marquee match vs. Liv Morgan now just over a week away, Rousey may have the opportunity to introduce a new move to her arsenal. While streaming on her YouTube channel, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion revealed that she’s currently sitting on a “rolling choke” that is awaiting a name:
“I actually have this rolling choke that’s pretty cool that I haven’t really busted out that is looking for a name.”
As it stands, Ronda Rousey’s next chance to debut the manoeuvre will come against Liv Morgan. They’ll collide for Morgan’s championship in an Extreme Rules match at the namesake premium live event on Saturday, 8 October.
Rousey and Morgan have been joined at the hip since Money in the Bank, as the latter cashed in the titular briefcase to capture the blue brand’s Women’s Championship. A subsequent clash at SummerSlam ended in controversy with a joint pinfall/submission ending, with Liv declared the victor.
