After Ronda Rousey announced that she wouldn’t be on Monday Night Raw, a new report has appeared to reveal that slightly bizarre reason why.
On March 28th, WWE shared a graphic that indicated that Ronda Rousey would be appearing on Monday Night Raw alongside Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch.
However, during a Facebook stream on the same day, Rousey denied that she was going to be part of the show. The former UFC star explained that if she was going to be on Raw, she’s be travelling, not chatting on the stream.
“I’m not going to be at Raw tomorrow,”
“I think that’s a mistake or something because if I was going to be at Raw tomorrow, I would be leaving today. So, no I’m not going to be there because I’m here.”
The graphic that had been posted just hours earlier by WWE was then deleted.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez has seemingly revealed the reason behind the mix-up.
“You know I always talk about, everyone goes ‘Bryan, Dave, plans change, cop out, blah, blah, blah.’ Well WWE put up a graphic, on their social media, announcing that Ronda Rousey was gonna be on the show tonight, but apparently they didn’t send her a plane ticket. So she had to alert the world that she’s not on the show tonight. Then they took down the graphic.”
Ahead of Raw, it was also confirmed that Seth Rollins will get his match at WrestleMania 38. Just 24 hours before the show, Rollins shared a screenshot on social media, showing him being summoned to a meeting with Vince McMahon.
WWE have now shared footage of the meeting on social media, with Rollins finally being given his WrestleMania match.
McMahon explained that if the former World Champion was on the show he would need his own special main event. At this, he confirmed that Rollins would have a WrestleMania match, although he will only find out the identity of his opponent when he’s in the ring. Furthermore, the opponent will be hand-picked by McMahon.
