Ronda Rousey “Not Alone In Her Feelings” About WWE’s Women’s Division

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey has never been shy about speaking her mind and she recently continued that trend on social media.

Rousey and Liv Morgan spent much of the summer of 2022 wrapped up in a rivalry over the SmackDown Women’s Title. At Money In The Bank, Morgan pinned the former UFC star to claim the gold, cashing in the contract she had won a little over an hour earlier.

Morgan then retained the title with a controversial win over Rousey at SummerSlam, before losing the gold back to the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’ at Extreme Rules.

In promoting her ‘Ronda on the Road’ YouTube series, the star reflected on her rivalry with Morgan on Instagram and held nothing back in talking about the situation. Rousey said that the pair had been “hamstrung by a bunch of octogenarians,” among other things.

“Imagine what our @yaonlylivvonce feud could have been if we weren’t hamstrung by a bunch of octogenarians who still think they know how to be hip while putting a total of 5 minutes of thought a week into each women’s storyline…”

Interestingly, it appears that Rousey’s feelings are echoed by others in WWE. A report from WRKD Wrestling stated that others backstage are frustrated by the creative given to female talent heading into WrestleMania.

Ronda Rousey is not alone in her feelings about the women’s division booking, as others backstage feel the women have struggled to gain traction this #WrestleManiaseason compared to the men due to their writing.”

Ronda Rousey To Work WrestleMania 39 With A Broken Arm

In an earlier post, Rousey revealed that she is dealing with multiple injuries heading into WrestleMania 39. The star confirmed that she’s got a fractured radius as well as “no ACL or cartilage in her right knee.”

The former SmackDown Women’s Champion is due to team up with Shayna Baszler in the women’s WrestleMania showcase at the event. The pair will take on Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya & Shotzi, and Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green.
