Ronda Rousey will meet Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules, but the match won’t feature this particular weapon!
Ronda Rousey wants to throw Legos at Liv Morgan during their Extreme Rules match at the namesake pay-per-view – but she can’t.
‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ is due to challenge Morgan for her SmackDown Women’s Championship at the 8 October premium live event, with Rousey having reportedly pitched the use of Legos in the match. However, the weapon’s previous use in All Elite Wrestling has prevented this from happening, due to fears of copying accusations.
Ronda Rousey revealed the news herself during a livestream on her YouTube channel, where a fan said she should use toys against Liv:
“I suggested Legos but apparently, AEW did that recently and we didn’t want people to think we’re copying. But I wanted to.”
Ronda Rousey has previously spoken about wanting to use Legos in the match, stating in a prior YouTube livestream that she wanted to force the former Riott Squad member to walk barefoot along the Lego bricks. Rousey also mentioned the use of thumbtacks in the bout, which aren’t too common in modern WWE.
WWE Extreme Rules is currently scheduled for Saturday, 8 October from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Other confirmed matches are a Ladder match between Bianca Belair and Bayley, an I Quit match between Edge and Finn Balor, and a Fight Pit match between Matt Riddle and Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins.
