Per Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is expected to return to WWE at WrestleMania 37.
Rousey, who has been absent from the company since WrestleMania 35, is still under contract to the company and is widely expected within the company to make some sort of appearance in Florida even though she was not seeded in the 2020 WWE Draft.
While her role is currently undefined and Meltzer does not state whether Ronda Rousey will compete or appear in another way, there is always the possibility that Rousey will be a participant in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble Match to set up a feud with the champion on March 28.
WrestleMania 37 was originally due to take place at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, but there have been tentative plans to move the spectacle to the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, the original venue for WrestleMania 36.
Staying on the subject of WrestleMania, Dave Meltzer also notes that ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ is the earliest Becky Lynch would return to the company following maternity leave and that there is still talk of Brock Lesnar being at the thirty seventh installment as well as WWE’s planned 2021 show in Saudi Arabia.
‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ Ronda Rousey defeated Alexa Bliss for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2018 on August 18 and dropped the title in her final appearance to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35. She left WWE after expressing a deep desire to start a family.
