Ronda Rousey “Disciplined Internally” After Adam Pearce Attack

Michael Cole revealed on Friday Night SmackDown that Ronda Rousey has been disciplined following her recent attack on Adam Pearce.

On the September 2nd edition of SmackDown Ronda Rousey came to the ring with a letter in hand.

Rousey got on the microphone and asked for Adam Pearce to come to the ring and read out the notice. As a smug Rousey chipped in with her own asides, Pearce read that while Rousey had been unprofessional, the WWE Board of Directors didn’t find her conduct to be criminal. Rousey had previously been arrested for showing up on SmackDown and attacking security.

The end result was that Rousey was reinstated, but would remain on probation. Although to say that Pearce handed this news badly would be a spectacular understatement.

The official ranted and insulted Rousey before the former UFC star finally locked him in an Arm Bar.

On the September 9th episode of SmackDown, announcer Michael Cole announced that the star had been “disciplined internally.” Cole added that the investigation into the incident is being undertaken behind closed doors.

“I have been told that Ronda Rousey has been disciplined internally and the results will not be made public. Sources have told me this, WWE official Adam Pearce has gotten carried away, he’s aired the dirty laundry publicly, hence the reason this investigation was taken behind the scenes with Ronda.”

However, it proved to be a good night for Ronda Rousey who won a Fatal-Five-Way Elimination Match to become number one contender for Liv Morgan’s SmackDown Women’s Title. The match is scheduled to take place at Extreme Rules.
