Ronda Rousey’s Clash At The Castle Status Uncertain

Ronda Rousey returns at Royal Rumble

Despite originally being scheduled to appear at the event, it is currently unknown as to whether Ronda Rousey will feature at Clash At The Castle.

Ronda Rousey is currently suspended from the WWE and was recently arrested on the August 19th edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

The former SmackDown Women’s Champion opened the most recent episode of the blue brand demanding that her suspension be lifted. WWE official Adam Pearce was unmoved and sent in security and then the police to remove her from the building.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer explained that Rousey’s immediate booking future appears uncertain.

“I don’t know if Rousey will be going to Cardiff for the show but she is not going to be scheduled for a match. The original plan for the show was to have her on it which is why they got her back on TV right away.

The long-term idea for her was to be a heel, but obviously right now the storyline with her suspended and defying authority is for her to be a babyface. Obviously Morgan is the destination.

Nothing is 100 percent in the sense that if they feel she’s really over as a face, it would make no sense to turn her, and they are very happy that her reactions have gotten much stronger of late and that she’s coming off as a more of a star than before SummerSlam where it was lagging”

With Rousey out of the title picture, Liv Morgan is scheduled to defend her SmackDown Women’s Champion against Shayna Baszler at Clash At The Castle.
