Former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey has offered her perspective on the recent allegations against Vince McMahon and the work culture within WWE.
In a candid interview with NewsNation, Ronda Rousey addressed the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon, WWE, and former executive John Laurinaitis, which includes accusations of sex trafficking, emotional abuse, and sexual assault.
Expressing her lack of surprise at the allegations, Rousey shed light on the perceived reluctance of individuals within the wrestling industry to speak out against the company, citing potential negative repercussions. She remarked:
Everybody is being held hostage by their careers, but since I don’t plan on going back there unless they make some very major changes, I feel free to say whatever I want to say, which I’ve always felt that way. I don’t really care if they have me back or not. I can wrestle wherever I want to wrestle and the truth should be told.
What Did Ronda Rousey Say About Her Final Match In WWE?
Ronda Rousey stated that her final WWE match was an act of defiance against the fans and the company itself. Rousey’s last WWE match was a MMA Rules match against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam and Rousey said that she didn’t care if fans found the match boring as she “loved every second of it.”
