‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey and her husband Travis Browne have announced that they’re expecting a baby girl.
The couple shared the news in a Pokemon-inspired gender reveal video on Rousey’s YouTube channel.
Speaking in the clip, the former RAW Women’s Champion and UFC Hall of Famer explain that they want to keep things simple before making the big reveal.
“Our gender reveal is finally here. We didn’t want to do anything that would set hundreds of acres ablaze — or thousands even. Some people are idiots. We didn’t want to do that. So we’re keeping it simple. We’re keeping it safe. We’re keeping it Browsey Acres style,”
Rousey initially announced that she was pregnant back in April, expressing her excitement at the news.
Ronda Rousey stepped away from WWE following her appearance in the main event of WrestleMania 35. At the time, the former UFC star explained that she was taking time away as she and Browne were trying for a baby.
Despite stepping away, the rumour mill began speculating about a return to WWE almost immediately.
Earlier in the year, WWE President Nick Khan said that Rousey would be back “at a certain point in time.”
Following these comments, Rousey attempted to clear up the speculation explaining that she’ll return on her terms.
“I don’t know [when I’ll return]. When I feel like it. I’ll come back when I feel like it. Eventually, when I feel like it [Laughs].”
Ronda Rousey joins fellow WrestleMania main eventer Becky Lynch in beginning her family. Lynch and her fiancé Seth Rollins welcomed their baby girl into the world in December 2020.
