According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, plans for the Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan feud have advanced.
During the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio, the respected journalist opined that WWE are currently planning for the duo to do battle at the 2021 Royal Rumble when can fans can be in attendance.
Earlier this month, Meltzer reported that the two mega-stars were due to clash at some point in the very near future, but could not provide a solid date as to when. Now that has changed, it looks as if WWE are taking their time in bringing both men together for what is sure to be a cataclysmic rivalry that will push the blue brand ahead of its red counterpart.
Currently, the tale is a slow burner on Friday nights with Daniel Bryan’s friend Kevin Owens calling out the WWE Universal Champion. It is believed that Roman Reigns will defend his coveted strap against the host of the Kevin Owens Show at TLC on December 20.
Running alongside that rivalry is Daniel Bryan and Jey Uso, who have come to blows several times on Friday Night SmackDown and who, like Reigns and Owens, look as if they are destined for a TLC war.
With Daniel Bryan involved in the creative developments behind the scenes on SmackDown, not only will have a say on how both feuds play out, but it seems as if both tales will merge as we enter the New Year in order for Bryan to get his eco-friendly hands on ‘The Tribal Chief.’
Let’s not forget, it was Roman who ordered the attack on Bryan by his cousin prior to the 2020 Survivor Series and it was ‘The Head of the Table’ who stood and watched his former ally be put on the shelf by the brutalization.
