Roman Reigns didn’t mince words when referencing Vince McMahon’s WWE exit on Raw!
The July 25th episode of Monday Night Raw in Madison Square Garden started with a bang. After a frenzied brawl between Logan Paul and The Miz, Roman Reigns and The Bloodline made their way to the ring to address the New York crowd. Reigns called for the crowd to acknowledge him, but then said he didn’t feel like talking anymore and handed the microphone to Paul Heyman.
Heyman sang the praises of the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and said that the world is tired of hearing about Brock Lesnar, who is scheduled to face Reigns for the title at SummerSlam. However, Heyman’s diatribe about the upcoming Premium Live Event was interrupted by Theory, who said that he was forgetting the most important thing about SummerSlam.
Pointing out that he’s the Money in the Bank contract holder, Theory once again stated his intention to not only regain his United States Championship from Bobby Lashley, but also to become Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on the grandest stage of the summer, much to the chagrin of Reigns and his crew.

However, Roman Reigns insisted that he runs Madison Square Garden now, and laid into Theory with the line, “Your daddy’s not here anymore.” This was in reference to Vince McMahon’s exit from the WWE amidst a federal investigation into alleged misconduct. Theory and Vince McMahon have been linked on television for months, with the former WWE Chairman acting as mentor to the young star and often granting him opportunities in storyline.
In fact, it was Mr. McMahon who allowed Theory to be a surprise entrant in the Money in the Bank ladder match earlier this month.
Following Roman’s line, the crowd loudly chanted “Daddy’s gone” and then “Who’s your daddy?” at the young Mr. Money in the Bank.
As The Bloodline went to leave, Theory hit Jey Uso with his Money in the Bank briefcase, but Roman Reigns stopped his cousins from retaliating and left Theory in the ring. Following a commercial break, Theory faced Drew McIntyre in a match that ended in disqualification following interference from the Brawling Brutes.
