Roman Reigns was spotted spending time with a film director.
Fans have not seen Roman Reigns since crossing paths with Bronson Reed at Clash in Paris. Although The Head of the Table won the match, he wasn’t able to celebrate long as The Auszilla’s partner, Bron Breakker, attacked The Tribal Chief, which ended in the former Undisputed being stretched out by the medical staff.
Since then, it was announced that Roman Reigns would be out of action indefinitely due to what happened. However, it has also been known that his absence is because the WWE star has been cast in the live-action movie adaptation of the popular video game Street Fighter, set for release on October 16, 2026.
The Tribal Chief will play Akuma, which first appeared in the video games in 1994 on Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Roman isn’t the only superstar in the list, as Cody Rhodes is also part of the movie as Guile. Now, it seems like Reigns has certainly been getting along with the rest of the movie’s staff.
On Roman Reigns’ Instagram story, the WWE star posed with the Street Fighter director, Kitao Sakurai, while celebrating a joint birthday party in Australia. Further social media posts from fans saw The Head of the Table walking around in Australia as the shooting for the movie continues.

Roman Reigns has been landing in more Hollywood roles since his cameo on Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Aside from Street Fighter, the former Undisputed Champion is also set to star in Amazon MGM Studios’ heist comedy The Pickup with Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson.
In 2024, The Head of the Table also appeared in the 2024 film Good Fortune with Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen.

Roman is just one of the many WWE stars who have also made for themselves in Hollywood, among them are The Rock, John Cena, Batista, and more. However, Reigns wants to carve out a specific path if he will continue pursuing both.
On What’s Your Story? Stephanie McMahon, The Head of the Table shared that he wants to be the first WWE Superstar who could do both, which is to lead a movie but also main event a premium live event. He noted that he doesn’t want to stop being a superstar and wear other hats, as he will also be a superstar.
