Roman Reigns gained a new challenger for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on SmackDown.
Earlier in the night The Bloodline arrived without Jey Uso, and refused to discuss Jey’s status within the group when asked by Kayla Braxton.
Later backstage, Jimmy revealed that he hadn’t heard from Jey since the Rumble, something that didn’t sit well with the Head of the Table who dispatched Jimmy and Solo Sikoa to find him.
Before heading to the ring, Reigns told Solo and Jimmy to go and eat in the bus, meaning he went in front of the world flanked only by the Wise Man, Paul Heyman. Upon approaching the ring, Reigns was serenaded with loud “Sami” chants, much to his disappointment.
Who Is Roman Reigns Facing At Elimination Chamber?
Reigns said that there were two sides to every story, and his story with Zayn goes back to WarGames. The Tribal Chief said that he saw Sami as greedy, but before he could go too much further a hooded figure attacked him from the crowd. A figure that was quickly revealed to be Sami Zayn.
After getting over the initial assault, Reigns recovered and got Heyman to throw him a chair, but Zayn responded with a Spear. As he took possession of the chair, Reigns retreated.
Zayn grabbed a microphone and demanded a match with Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, but was jumped from behind by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. As the crowd chanted for Jey, Reigns said that he would give Zayn what he wants in Monreal, at Elimination Chamber.

The Bloodline well and truly imploded at the Royal Rumble, despite Roman Reigns retaining his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Kevin Owens. After Reigns’ victory, The Bloodline put a vicious beatdown on Owens and handcuffed him to the ropes. As Reigns went to hit him with a chair, Zayn stepped in, which only incensed Reigns further.
At this, the Tribal Chief handed Zayn the air and demanded he hit Owens. After more taunting, Zayn delivered a thunderous shot to Reigns which brought the crowd to their feet.
However, Zayn was quickly felled by a Superkick from Jimmy Uso before being laid out by Solo Sikoa and then Reigns. The show went off the air with Jey Uso walking out on the group, unable to join in the attack on the man he had come to see as a brother.
