Roman Reigns suffered an extremely rare pinfall loss at WWE Crown Jewel before a tumultuous reunion with a former rival!
The long-awaited clash between The Bloodline, led by Solo Sikoa, and The Original Bloodline, led by Roman Reigns, opened this year’s Crown Jewel and the two factions went to war.
As expected, the match quickly broke down although not just between the two groups. The relationship between Roman Reigns and his former rival-turned-ally Jey Uso was shaky at best with Uso going as far as to refuse to tag Reigns in at one point.
Eventually, the referee was taken out and after being assaulted by Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, Solo Sikoa brutalised Reigns with a series of Samoan Spikes before picking up a shock pinfall win over the Original Tribal Chief.
This marks Reigns’ third pinfall loss since adopting his Tribal Chief persona back in 2020: The first occurred at Money In The Bank 2023 where Reigns was pinned by Jey Uso in a tag team match, followed by the second at WrestleMania 40 where Cody Rhodes did the same.
Roman Reigns Had A Tumultuous Reunion With Sami Zayn
After the match, Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline began a post-match assault on Roman Reigns’ Bloodline and eventually set up a steel chair around Jey Uso’s neck before posing him in the corner. Before they could capitalise, however, Sami Zayn made a surprise appearance.
After several moments where it looked like Zayn might side with Sikoa’s faction, the Canadian star hit Sikoa with an exploder suplex and evened the odds for Reigns and the Uso brothers. Not everything went to plan, however, as a miscommunication between Reigns and Zayn led to the latter taking the former out with a kick to the head.
