Roman Reigns’ SmackDown Return Announced

Roman Reigns WWE Universal Champion

Roman Reigns is set to make his return on SmackDown just weeks before his match at SummerSlam.

After Roman Reigns successfully retained his WWE Undisputed Championship against Riddle a few weeks ago on SmackDown, he received a surprise in the form of the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. It was then announced that Reigns would defend his championship against Lesnar one last time at SummerSlam in a Last Man Standing match. While fans haven’t seen Reigns since Lesnar’s unexpected return, it appears the Tribal Chief is ready to break his silence.

WWE announced during the 4th of July RAW that Reigns would return to SmackDown this Friday night. No word on whether Lesnar will also be there, but he has made several unexpected appearances as of late. When he returned, Lesnar delivered an F5 to Reigns and took out both Jimmy and Jey Uso.

WWE also announced that the new SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey would appear. It has been reported that Ronda may get her rematch for the championship at SummerSlam, although nothing has been confirmed. Morgan appeared on last night’s RAW to celebrate her championship win at Money In The Bank. With SummerSlam only a few short weeks away, things are beginning to heat up on both RAW and SmackDown.
