Roman Reigns Thinks He Would Thrive If Given Seth Rollins’ Gimmick

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has stated that he could pull off the outlandish gimmick of a fellow WWE superstar. The Universal Champion recently appeared as a guest on the SI Media podcast to promote the upcoming match with Seth Rollins at the upcoming Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on Saturday January 29th.

Host Jimmy Traina asked The Tribal Chief about his opponent’s “Drip God” persona, and whether Reigns himself could pull off suits like his former Shield brother. When asked the question, The Universal Champion laughed and said the following:

“You never seen me on a red carpet? You never seen me even in media? I was doing this drip thing before drip was drip.

“These young kids, they think they’ve started something. We can go in the closet right now and, it’s like, we’re fingering through all these suits. Hey, is there money stashed in it? Probably a little bit of money stashed in it.”

Roman Reigns’ recent Tribal Chief heel gimmick, which has been seen on WWE TV since August 2020 has been praised by critics and fans alike. In the interview, Reigns has stated that there is no limits to what he can do in WWE.

In regards to The Head of the Table’s personal wardrobe, Reigns is proud of his suit choices, also receiving praise from his former special counsel Paul Heyman.

“I could absolutely do anything I wanted as long as I put my mind to it. My suits are something you could wear every single day and it would still be like, ‘Oh, damn!’ You know what I mean?

“Every time I wear a suit, Paul Heyman’s jaw drops! He’s a suit guy and he already knows what it is. Are they are as crazy and flamboyant? No, but they are just sharp. The top level is The Tribal Chief.”

Roman Reigns will be hoping to increase the record breaking Universal Championship reign as he defends the title at the Rumble. The match will be a true one on one contest, as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Uso will be banned from ringside for the duration of the title clash.
