The closing stages of WWE SummerSlam 2024 witnessed the shocking return of Roman Reigns.
After months of absence since his loss to Cody Rhodes, Reigns made his presence felt in Cleveland. The Bloodline Rules match witnessed multiple interferences from Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and Jacob Fatu.
However, after a brutal beat down from Fatu, all hopes seemed lost for Rhodes. Then, Roman Reigns made his triumphant return. Reigns marched down to the ring and hit Solo Sikoa with a Superman punch followed by a devastating spear.
Helping Rhodes secure his title, ‘The Original Tribal Chief’ then shared a stare-down with The American Nightmare. Reigns’ return had been anticipated for some time, and fans in Cleveland witnessed the iconic return.
After weeks of digs from Sikoa, Reigns made his statement known and possibly declared his next target in the former enforcer of The Bloodline.
Cody Rhodes has now addressed Roman Reigns’ return, admitting the pair have a “unique” relationship.
As well as Reigns’ huge return, SummerSlam saw multiple titles changing hands.
Roman Reigns’ SummerSlam Return Was Possibly Spoiled By Big E
Earlier in the night during the SummerSlam Kickoff show, former Champion Big E possibly spoiled the return of Roman Reigns. Sharing the panel with Wade Barrett and Jackie Redmond, he stated:
We may see an appearance from somebody we haven’t seen in a long time.”
Big E’s spoilers came true as Reigns returned tonight. With a dramatic end to the show, fans also witnessed Gunther capture his first World Championship, and Rhea Ripley suffer betrayal from Dominik Mysterio.
