According to Fightful Select, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was not injured during the Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match on December 20.
Defending his blue strap against a determined Kevin Owens, Reigns made the entire wrestling world hold their breath when he speared his challenger through a table in the corner and rolled out of the move clutching his shoulder.
Seemingly in a considerable amount of pain, Reigns appeared to favour the injured arm for the rest of the bout and events looked worse when he crashed through the ringside barrier on a second failed spear attempt.
As per the report, Fightful were told that once Roman Reigns walked back through the curtain he appeared to be absolutely fine with WWE relaying the message to the site that ‘The Tribal Chief’ was perfectly healthy and was just good at his job.
Roman Reigns retained the WWE Universal Championship in an fantastic all-out brawl against Kevin Owens at WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2020 in the bout of the same name.
Utilizing the help of cousin Jey Uso, Reigns battered a resilient Owens with everything he had but none of it seemed enough as ‘The Prizefighter’ just kept on getting up earning the respect of a visibly shocked and impressed Paul Heyman.
In the end, it was a wicked low blow and a Guillotine Choke atop the ladder which ended Owens challenge, allowing Roman to unhook his strap from above the ring and carry on his reign of terror over WWE’s blue brand.
