Roman Reigns Not Advertised For 2023 WWE Premium Live Event

Roman Reigns WWE Universal Champion

Currently reigning as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns has stood at the top of the WWE ship for well over two years. He returned from hiatus at the 2020 SummerSlam pay-per-view, lifting the Universal Championship mere days later at Payback, and holding onto it ever since.

With this incredible run has come a slew of superlative in-ring encounters, both on pay-per-views/premium live events and on WWE television. Daniel Bryan, Drew McIntyre, John Cena, Edge, Kevin Owens, and countless others have all provided a tough test for ‘The Tribal Chief’ and his dominant run. Logan Paul was the last to try, falling to Roman at the Crown Jewel event on November 5.

Roman Reigns To Miss Elimination Chamber?

Despite his position at the helm of WWE, it’s become common for Roman Reigns to miss a premium live event here and there. In 2022 alone, ‘The Head of the Table’ didn’t compete at Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, or Extreme Rules. In 2023, he may look to add Elimination Chamber to this list.

Per advertising for the event, which takes place on Saturday, February 18 from Montreal, Quebec, Canada’s Bell Center, Roman Reigns isn’t currently scheduled to appear. On the poster instead are current Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, the United States Champion Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, Liv Morgan, Bobby Lashley, and Reigns’ Bloodline ally Sami Zayn.

This will mark the first Elimination Chamber since 2020 to go on without involvement from Roman Reigns. He defended the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan and Goldberg at the 2021 and 2022 instalments, respectively.

At the time of writing, the next scheduled bout for ‘The Head of the Table’ is on November 26 at Survivor Series: WarGames. He’ll team with Sami Zayn, Solo Sikoa, and The Usos to combat Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, and The Brawling Brutes in the men’s WarGames match.
