Roman Reigns Not Advertised For 2024 WWE Royal Rumble

Roman Reigns on WWE SmackDown

At present, Roman Reigns currently isn’t advertised to appear at the 2024 Royal Rumble.

On September 13th, WWE announced that the Royal Rumble will be returning to Florida in January 2024. The 37th edition of the popular event will take place on January 27th at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.

However — at least for now — it doesn’t look like the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will be there. In the first poster for the event, the likes of Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest are all featured, but Reigns is missing.

It should be noted that just because Reigns isn’t advertised now, it doesn’t mean he won’t be added to the card at a later date.

When Did Roman Reigns Last Wrestle?

The Tribal Chief hasn’t wrestled since overcoming Jey Uso at SummerSlam to retain his World Championship. The victory kept the star’s staggering three-year run at the top of WWE going, but it did come at a price.

After the show, it was reported that Roman Reigns had suffered an injury, although it wasn’t felt to be serious. He appeared on the following episode of SmackDown as planned, and creative for the star has continued unchanged. Reigns’ current break from programming was always scheduled and is simply a continuation of his part-time status.

Reigns has worked a heavily reduced schedule since before WrestleMania 38, and now rarely wrestles at live events, and regularly misses Premium Live Events.

With that in mind, the star isn’t advertised for Fastlane in October and didn’t feature at Payback. However, he is advertised for Survivor Series in November and is expected to feature at Crown Jewel earlier the same month.

In a new report on October 27th, Roman Reigns has also been pulled from another major WWE event.
