Just three weeks away from reaching 800 days as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns is on the run of his career at the moment. He’s en route to defend the championship against Logan Paul in a colossal crossover bout on November 5th at Crown Jewel, with the Paul brother the latest in a long line of contenders for ‘The Tribal Chief’.
Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, and Edge are among the names who’ve tried and failed to topple Roman Reigns. McIntyre was the last to try, losing to Reigns at Clash at the Castle on September 3rd, albeit following the interference of Solo Sikoa.
Bron Breakker Doesn’t Want Roman Reigns To Lose
According to two-time NXT Champion Bron Breakker, Reigns should never lose the championships. This is what Breakker said to UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier while backstage at Extreme Rules, with Cormier divulging what the second-generation Steiner said to him while appearing on the Masked Man Show:
“I hope he [Roman Reigns] never loses. I hope that when that belt is off of him, he just walks away from it, like, ‘I don’t need to be the champ no more, there you go’, because his character is so over. I don’t want to see that character lose.”
Daniel Cormier referenced how Bron Breakker may one day be challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship himself, with the NXT prospect having been at ringside during Extreme Rules. Though still an NXT Superstar, Bron Breakker has been primed for the main roster since arriving at the WWE Performance Center.
Roman Reigns is believed to be making even fewer appearances moving forward, with just six more dates confirmed for 2022 thus far. He’s currently scheduled for all upcoming premium live events and a handful of main roster programming as he moves closer to a rumoured singles outing vs. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at WrestleMania 39.
