Universal Champion Roman Reigns isn’t a man short on self confidence, and for good reason.
The Tribal Chief hasn’t been pinned or submitted during a one-on-one match since 2019. In that time Reigns has defeated the likes of Daniel Bryan, Edge and Kevin Owens, holding the Universal Title since August 30th 2020.
As Reigns prepares to face his next challenger at SummerSlam, the long-reigning champion took to social media to declare his own claim to greatness.
Writing on Twitter, the Head of the Table said he was different to everyone before, and levels above anyone else, or anything in the industry.

Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship at SummerSlam on August 21st against John Cena.
Ever since Cena returned to WWE at Money In The Bank, the 16-time World Champion has been on a mission to take down Reigns. Cena first called out Reigns on Monday Night RAW before taunting the champion on SmackDown. Initially Reigns resisted the challenge, instead agreeing to take on former champion Finn Balor.
Determined not to be overlooked, Cena gate-crashed the contract signing between Reigns and Balor. After opportunistically signing the contract himself, it was later confirmed that Cena would face Reigns in Las Vegas.
However, on the most recent episode of SmackDown, Balor was equally determined not to just be pushed aside. After disposing of Baron Corbin with minimal fuss, Balor called out the champion. The Irishman said that he wasn’t going to take the situation lying down, staking his claim to the championship.
However, Balor was eventually beaten down by The Bloodline and left laying as the show went off the air.
